The Gig Harbor community wanted a YMCA that would serve all members of the family, from infants to older adults. Accessibility and visibility were the main themes at this location. The running track is situated around the perimeter of the facility and has views of several programming areas. The design maximizes efficiency of staff with strategic sightlines, and features a café, chapel, MultiCare medical clinic, dedicated teen areas, child care areas, and a natatorium with saunas, steam rooms, shallow entry pools, and water slides.
