Proposal Specialist

diverse teams, and keeps complex pursuits moving forward. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing strategy, collaboration, and precision—managing multiple deadlines while developing compelling pursuit materials that support our continued growth and success.

Among other things, here’s what you’ll be doing:

• Coordinate all phases of proposal and qualification development, including content collection, document assembly, review coordination, production, and submission.

• Manage proposal schedules, contributor assignments, and deadlines to ensure timely, high-quality deliverables.

• Collaborate with Market Leads, Project Managers, technical staff, and subconsultants to develop proposal content and pursuit materials.

• Edit, proofread, and format proposals, presentations, qualifications packages, and related marketing materials.

• Contribute to proposal processes, differentiators, win themes, and messaging in collaboration with pursuit teams and Proposal Leads.

• Independently manage multiple concurrent pursuits while maintaining accuracy, consistency, and compliance with submission requirements.

• Coordinate interview preparation efforts, including presentation development, logistics, scheduling, and supporting materials.

• Support maintenance of firm’s proposal library, marketing database, and pursuit tracking systems.

• Support award submissions, teaming requests, and business development initiatives.

• Maintain accurate and relevant information within marketing systems.

Ideal qualifications we seek in a candidate:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Working proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of AEC proposal development practices, including qualifications-based selection processes, public procurement, persuasive writing, and document design principles.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities, including editing and proofreading skills.
• Ability to effectively prioritize, manage competing deadlines, and maintain exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively, build positive working relationships, and contribute productively within cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, and accountability when managing assignments independently.
• Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint preferred.

The details:

• This is a full-time hybrid role based in Tacoma, WA, with at least 3 days per week in our office.

• We proactively review your compensation each year, balancing market trends and your performance to support pay equity and competitiveness.
• The pay range for this position is $63,750 – $86,250, hourly. Where a person is paid in the range depends on multiple factors such as qualifications, tenure, and work performance.
