For the Kids’ Zone at Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium, it was key to offer a safe and exciting area inside the zoo that emphasized animal education and conservation efforts through interactive games and activities. Our approach applied a storybook aesthetic with colorful, playful exhibits and play structures. A spray park provides a place to cool down by leaping and hopping from lily pad to lily pad. Sustainable design was used throughout.
