The Henry, a seven-story, mixed-use building on the Foss Waterway integrates the character of Tacoma while revitalizing the city’s historic waterfront. BCRA’s interdisciplinary team navigated a complex planning and permitting process in order to realize this sophisticated facility with maximized views.
The 161 units range from studios to two-bedrooms with dens. A community room with a pub feel, a second-floor outdoor plaza, and a rooftop deck with dog run are also part of the design. A waterfront, landscaped plaza promotes pedestrian activity, educates visitors, and provides connections to nearby landmarks like the Museum of Glass and the waterfront esplanade.
