BCRA provided the design and construction administration services for sidewalk accessibility improvements in five of the City’s business districts. Improvements included sidewalk, streetscape, and accessible curb ramp upgrades, as well as roadway pavement replacement.
Given the potential impact to local businesses during construction, BCRA jointly met with the City and individual business owners to better understand their needs. We incorporated specific instructions addressing those needs into the plans and specifications, including a phased sidewalk construction to ensure that business access was maintained.
