Job Carr Cabin Museum

Tacoma, WA

The Job Carr Cabin Museum is an authentic replication of the log cabin occupied by the first permanent, non-native settler in Tacoma. Our Environmental Graphic Designers developed a temporary interior interpretive exhibit to celebrate the local history of Commencement Bay and tie into the concurrently running Tall Ships Festival, then later developed an exterior interpretive canoe experience on the grounds adjoining the cabin. The design team worked closely with the client to ensure that the exterior canoe exhibit was complementary to the general park location and fit the circulation needs of the space.
