Rowley Properties said it will start construction June 26 on an eight-story, 123-room extended-stay hotel in Issaquah.

The building will be a Homewood Suites by Hilton and is off state Route 900 and Interstate 90, near a Hilton Garden Inn owned by Rowley Properties.

The new hotel is expected to open by summer 2015. The Hotel Group of Edmonds will manage it.

Abbott Architecture is designing the hotel and GLY Construction is the general contractor.

Rooms will have kitchens, separate sleeping and living spaces, and complimentary Internet. The hotel offers daily breakfast, dinner and drinks Monday through Thursday, and a grocery shopping service.

The project is the first one in a development agreement between the city and Issaquah-based Rowley Properties. Under the agreement Rowley can develop up to 4.4 million square feet of commercial and residential space on 78 acres south of I-90 along SR 900 in the next 30 years.

The whole development will be called Hyla Crossing and Rowley Center, and could add as many as 6,500 jobs and 2,000 residents.

Rowley representatives said the company has not started planning the second project under the development agreement.
